Bourget’s “Lady Low–Blow” Caters to Women Riders

Bourget’s Bike Works has had a huge influence in the turnkey custom bike industry for more than 12 years. The Phoenix based company, has a loyal dealer network and is known for its artful looking motorcycles.

Bourget’s bikes usually make use of large diameter tubing for the patented oil in the frame design. Bourget also led the trend of the dropped seat before others jumped on the bandwagon. Company founder Roger Bourget insists BBW is in the business of manufacturing as opposed to assembling bikes.

In the process of manufacturing the definitive custom motorcycle, Bourget’s service Manager, Moots, along with repeat customer Casey Powell, got together to spec out a Motorcycle for Powell’s wife Lisa.

The pair decided to start with one of Roger Bourget’s earliest models the Low-Blow. They shortened the wheelbase by 2” using 36-degree rake and proceeded to add an adjustable lowering kit and narrow gas tank. The handlebars and forward controls were also adjusted to fit a lower stature, while the design team also added an EZ-clutch and custom seat with back support and gel inserts to make this the ultimate custom ride for ladies.

The custom tailored model was on the BBW assembly floor during the Annual Dealer Meeting and caught the eye of several dealers. “Since then we have built several of the “Lady Low-Blow” as it was chauvinistically nicknamed by our clever assembly crew,” explained Roger Bourget.
