Meet Michael Lovas

I'm relatively new to the great northwest, and I'm also one of those people who were out of the saddle for a couple of decades. So, I just saw your publication for the first time last week. If you don't mind, I'd like to share a story with you. Don't worry, it's relevant.

When I was a young Marine in 1966, I was graduating form Radio School when I learned that my life expectancy in combat was only four seconds. I guess you can imagine how freaked out that made me. But, something came over me, a calm, a voice that told me I'd be OK and I was destined to do something important. (nope -nothing religious!)

About five years ago, I started figuring out what that something important was. At first, I thought it was to help people figure out and communicate with other people. That would make sense, I wrote a book on it. Then, the voice came back and told me that my job was to help former military people deal with PTSD. See, I'm a biker who has a lot of training in psychology - not that academic BS. My training is in stuff that really works. It's
called Neuro-linguistic Programming, and I'm also a Clinical Hypnotherapist.

How is this relevant? These days, most of the bikers I see are vets - Viet Nam Vets, Combat Vets, Leathernecks, Marine Corp MC, Warrior Brotherhood, Military Vets, Rough Riders MC, . A lot of vets suffer from PTSD, and have for many years. The relevance is - they're your readers.

I'm not yet sure how to approach it, but if you can devote some space for content, I would be willing to provide some articles about how to deal with PTSD. Maybe you can sponsor a Happy PTSD Busting Party.

By the way, working with PTSD is not part of my business; it's a calling, a passion, a cause. As for developing content, that's simple and easy for me; I currently write three columns for the financial industry. I'm the author of about seven books, and I've been a professional writer since about 1977 (hey, that's the year my stroked/chopped Superglide was stolen).

Thanks for reading my story. I look forward to hearing from you.
Mike
