The MRF is a National organization that consists of a Board of Directors and various organizational officers. Officers include a VP Government Relations officer that lives and works in Washington DC for all motorcyclists. Many states have MRF State and Assistant Reps to help from donations, membership dues and the sale of various MRF products. The MRF provides the following support services for all SMRO’s (State Motorcycle Riders Organization) in all states:

  • Track motorcycle related legislation-Assist SMRO’s in state legislative matters
  • Internet Website & Library of motorcycle-related studies
  • Sponsor National & Regional training conferences with world wide attendance
  • Monthly news/press releases on legislative action & Bi-monthly newsletter
  • MRF white pages (document of motorcycle related events, studies, articles)

All motorcyclist/individuals are invited to join the MRF regardless of what or if they ride, the patch they wear or the motorcyclist’s rights organization that they belong to.

NATIONAL COALITION OF MOTORCYCLISTS (NCOM)

NCOM is a National organization consisting of a Board of Directors, Legislative task force that includes State Legislators/Senators and a National Council made up of representatives from each of the NCOM member groups. NCOM is not supported by membership dues or solicited funds from member groups. All operating costs are paid through the Aid to Injured Motorcyclists (A.I.M.) nationwide network of attorneys. The goal and purpose of NCOM is to assist all motorcycle organizations and individual riders with legal, legislative and other motorcycle issues. The Coalition will assist NCOM member groups through such free services as legislative assistance including biker anti-discrimination, info networks and a various number of programs. NCOM sponsors National and Regional Conventions with worldwide attendance and the participation of ICOM and the Confederation of Clubs. All Motorcycle groups are invited to join NCOM regardless of what they ride, the patch they wear or the MRO (Motorcycle Riders Organization) they belong to.

INTERNATIONAL COALITION OF MOTORCYCLISTS (ICOM) www.aimncom.com/icom/

ICOM is a clearinghouse for international motorcycle information collected from and distributed to the national organizations in the countries. The international exchange of valuable information and the coming together to fight repressive laws is now a reality. ICOM participates in various National Conferences/Conventions.

AMERICAN MOTORCYCLISTS ASSOCIATION (AMA)

The AMA pursues, promotes, and protects the interests of motorcyclists, while serving the needs of its members. They track legislature for the road and off road for 50 states and at the National level. They consist of Tour and Riding, Competition, Off Road and Trials, all facets of motorcycling. The major income of the AMA is its membership dues. They provide:

  • Government Relations Dept.-Reps in Washington & Western States
  • Attendance and workshops at the MRF Conference
  • Help rides find the right insurance coverage at reasonable prices
  • Medical insurance for AMA Sanctioned Runs and events
  • Many activities, various other products & services and the AMA magazine

What ABATE is and does:

  • Legislative watchdog on all levels of legislation to protect your right to ride free
  • Source of inform with monthly newsletter – Sponsors Annual Rally
  • Liaison between motorcyclists and those affecting their rights
  • Promote positive public image, education programs, political involvement
  • Stands for the preservation & advancement of the motorcyclists lifestyle
  • Conduct fund-raising activities to help support the organization

All motorcyclists/individuals are invited to join ABATE regardless of what or if they ride, the patch they wear or the MRO they belong to. This organization’s primary source of income is membership dues.

The NMA organization strives to inform, educate and organize off-highway motorcyclists within Washington State to preserve and expand off-highway motorcycling opportunities:

  • To inform, educate, and organize off-highway motorcyclists within Washington State, in order to preserve and expand off-highway motorcycling recreational opportunities.
  • To promote off-highway motorcycling as a legitimate and responsible form of recreation.
  • To oversee a user funded system to construct and maintain off-highway motorcycling recreational opportunities
  • To keep public lands open for the responsible use by all recreationalists, with specific emphasis on motorized recreation
  • To represent the interests of off-highway motorcyclists to government, land owners, other recreation user groups, and the general public.
