Buddy Stubbs Harley-Davidson

Buddy Stubbs started his Harley-Davidson motorcycle business July 16, 1966.  The business was located at 25th Street & McDowell Road in Phoenix.

He began on a shoestring budget after selling his racing Harley-Davidson’s following an illustrious racing career.

In the beginning, after taking over the liabilities of the previous dealer, he purchased a house trailer to live in and parked it in the back of the shop.  He lived there for five years making payments to creditors.

While living in Southern California, during his racing career Buddy made friends with many people in the movie industry.  This led to a 12-year career as a motorcycle stuntman in Arizona.  At the same time Buddy continued to grow his motorcycle business.

Buddy loved his job (just as he does now) and performed all aspects of the motorcycle business. That is–besides taking care of business, he sold motorcycles, parts, accessories, did mechanical work, machine work and motorcycle painting.

As a Harley dealer, Buddy has done business with three different Harley-Davidson companies. First it was the families of the Davidson’s and the Harley’s.  Then it was AMF and then the new regime of thirteen investors with Harley-Davidson on the stock market.
The future looks extremely bright for many decades to come with Buddy’s sons, Frank & Jack managing the business in the finest way imaginable.  Back in 1966 Buddy had three employees.  Today he has over fifty-three.

Most of all, they are one big happy family having fun.  So come and join them at Buddy Stubbs Harley-Davidson to make fun memories you will never forget and “Tell’m Kimmy sent you!”
