Lady Rider
by Claire

2I would like to take this opportunity to say hello to students I have had over the past few months. Hopefully you are out there riding and loving every minute of it. If you have not bought a bike yet, don't wait too long to practice the skills you learned. Should you see me out somewhere, feel free to say hi.

Have any of you been to the Laconia Motorcycle Rally in Weirs Beach, New Hampshire? If you have I am sure you enjoyed the curving roads around Lake Winnepesaukee, but not the thousands of riders creating gridlock impeding your ride. Now picture this: riding in Laconia with two friends, the trees at the peak of wild foliage colors, and no traffic. Sound like a dream? Well, on October 8th that dream was my reality. A well-timed trip, a great friend with a spare FXR (thanks Joey!), and a spectacular fall day, all converged to create riding heaven.

By 10 am the clean air, powder blue sky and brilliant sunshine were resplendent in their glory. Days like that happen about 30 times a year in New Hampshire.
Does that weather sound familiar? Days like that happen about 150 times a year here! How awesome is Arizona winter? This leads me to a more curious observation. During the PERFECT days of winter here in the Valley, LESS people take riding classes. The logic escapes me.

If you have thought of taking a beginner, intermediate or advanced class and are putting it off, DON'T! I know, there are only about, oh say, 4 months left of this amazing weather, so it may not work into your schedule.

In the meantime, ride each perfect day like tomorrow were August. As my friend Joey would say "Perfect is GOOD!"

Sincerely, Claire
